What’s the best ski resort in Andorra? The best slope-side chalet in Italy?
These questions are about to become much easier to answer, thanks to the inaugural World Ski Awards.
Billed as the first ever global effort to identify the best brands in ski hospitality, the Awards opened voting to the public last month in four categories: best resort, best hotel, best boutique hotel and best private chalet. Initial votes will determine the top brands in each of 20 countries before facing off to determine the best brands in the world. Voting will continue through Oct. 13, and winners will be announced on Nov. 16 at the World Ski Awards Ceremony in Kitzbühel, Austria.
